This week changing!

This week changing have been crazy for me. Working on both of my projects in order to turn them in on time. WOWWWWWWWWWWW I can;t believe we are almost through with this term, it went by so fast. I wish we can take our Professor along with us to our next classes that will be taking next term. Because she make it easier for you understand, when it come to your assignment. I have done some changing to my project, and I hope it okay now, because I work hard on this project. But what really got me was, how there was so much information out there about Foster Care. It was crazy, I said to my self ( self (LOL) where are going to start at. I had to take a step back and look at all the information that I had found on Foster Care. I would like to say to all of you good luck with your project and your dream that you set for your self. See you in class. Hope to hear from you.
P.S. Don't this picture look relaxing!

This week challenge!

This week been crazy for me. I found out two week ago that I was a diabetes and I been trying to get control of it so I don't have to take any kind of medication for it. I went to the doctor yesterday and found that I have to take medicine for my diabetic. I am doing everything that I need to do to get off this medicine. Because it has some side effect to it.
Let talk about the rough draft we had to turn in Tuesday. I would like to say it was crazy for me. I didn't know where to star at first. Because it so much information out there about Foster Care. How they end up in foster care, how they deal with being in foster care and how they life turn out by being in foster care. I had to sit back and think about where to start at and where to end at. But I could had kept on writing about it. I also wanted to put down about a young man who I know. How he over came by being in foster and being homeless. I wanted to put it before my conclusion. Question: Where do you think, I should put this information?
Talk to you soon!

I would like to start of by saying hello to everyone and Happy Valentine Day to everyone. I hope everyone had a great day. The challenge that I been going through this week is with my father. I move from Cleveland, Ohio to Indianapolis, Indiana 3 years ago to take care of my father. For the past couple of week my father had been giving me a hard time. I have to sometime go to my room and pray and ask for guided, when it come to him. My father have cancer and he want to drink all the time, and it turning him into a person that I don't know. I know the saying when a person who are sick , they go into denial. If there anyone out there can help me and tell me what I can do about this situation. Please blog me back. Talk to you soon.

P.S. I feel like standing in the middle of the street and screaming.

Prewriting Strategies

I had a hard time this week, with my blog this week. I try to blog along with the picture that I posted with my blog. The picture on the blog is a picture of my grand-daughter, she was 4 years old when this picture was taken, she is 8 years old now.

The discussion for the blog this week is about, prewrting strategies. When it come to prewriting strategies, I do my research first and print out what I need for my project. I also underline and highlight certain parts. I also write now my though and take notes as well.

Everyday is a challenge to all of us. My day start off early, by getting my grand-daughter up and ready for school. I take to her bus stop every morning. When I through with my grand-daughter, I get my father up for the day or getting him ready for his appointment for the day. The only time I have free time is at night when everyone is gine to bed and is asleep. That the time that I can breeze and do my school work and have time for myself. Sometime I am up until 2 or 3 in the morning.

Talk to you soon!

Plagiarism

Hello Everyone:I'm sorry about the blog that I posted the other day. My mind was not on Plagiarism that day, it was on the people of Haiti and it still on the people of Haiti.

I been reading about plagiarism for the past couple days. How it is wrong to use someone else work and take credit for it. I found this statement in, Writing Research Paper, A Guide to The Process, by: Stephen Weidenborner, Domenick Caruso, and Gary Parks, Seventh Edition (2005). I wanted to share this with all of you. Avoiding plagiarism is not just a matter of avoiding consequences, it is a matter of practicing ethical responsibility and establishing your own credibility as a writer. The purposes of carefully documenting all borrowed material in your paper include the follow:

1)Giving credit where credit is due: You must acknowledge the work of researchers who have gone before you. (If another writer were to use an interesting idea from something you had written, you surely want your work acknowledged as it source.

2) Telling your readers where you find more information about your topic: You may have raised some question that would send curious reader back to your sources for answers. Or a reader might want to verify your interpretation of what you read, for instance, someone might want to be certain you had not quoted out of context.

3)Giving knowledgeable readers some idea of how authoritative a particular statement is: Let the reader know whether the author of the source is an expert in the field or simply a reporter summarizing recent developments for the general public.

4) Providing the date of initial publication: The date that your source was originally Published is important because information changes through time. Magazine articles and book may be reprinted, so you must record the original publication date (as opposed to the date an article was posted electronically, or the year the book was printed). For instant Sigmund Freud spent more than forty years developing the psychoanalytic theory of personality, and over that period he revised some earlier idea considerably. Therefore, a well-informed reader might want to know just Freud made a statement that you quoted in your paper. For this reason, you must be careful to find out the year the source was first published.

5) Giving an overall sense of how thoroughly you carried out your research: The list of works cited reveals at a glance the range of your investigation of the topic, the notes indicate how thoroughly you have read the sources.

There are so many book on Plagiarism and they all given different source about what plagiarism is. To me it all boil now that Plagiarism is wrong no matter, what way you see it.

I hope to hear from you!

Welcome

Hello Everyone:

How everyone doing today, I hope okay. Well for me, I'm not feeling good today. But, I not to let it hold me down. I been watching and thinking about the people over in Haiti. How they have lost everything, plus their love one. My grand-daughter ask me is there anything that we can do to help, the people over in Haiti. I told her yes, we can pray for them and hope things get better for them. Today she came home with a flier from school saying they are putting a care package together for the people over in Haiti. I told her that a great thing they are doing, for the people over in Haiti. The care package consist of ( Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Hand Towels, Combs, Anti-bacterial of soap, and Gallon Zip Lock Bag). My question today is, How do you feel about, what going on in Haiti?
